THE SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE
A. PENGGUNAAN
a. Digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu perbuatan, peristiwa / kejadian yang biasa digunakan.
Example: we usually have breakfast before going to office
b. Digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu kejadian atau peristiwa yang sudah terjadi( umum).example: Iam study six days in a week
c. Digunakan untuk perintah kepada orang lain.
Example : please sit down!
d. Digunakan untuk menyatakan peristiwa yang pasti terjadi.
Example : persija team plays in gelora 10 november stadium next week
e. Biasa digunakan dengan kata keterangan
Example: I go to church on Sundays
f. Biasa digunakan dengan kata “say” untuk menanyakan notice atau yang lainnya.
Example: what does that notice say?
It says “no parking”
g. Biasa digunakan pada Koran atau majalah
Example: MASS MURDERER ESCAPES
h. Biasa diguakan dalam drama atau opera
Example : when the curtai rises , Juliet is writing at her desk. Sudenly the window opensand masked man entterst
B. SUSUNAN KALIMAT
 Positive → subject+verb I(s/es)
Example
1. I buy a shirt
2. They play football
3. He goes to school
4. It swims very fast
5. She gives a present
Ket:
• She , he , it→ditambah “s/es” pada kata kerjanya yang berakhiran (ch,c,ss,sh,x,z)
• Ketika “y” diikuti konsonan maka diikutti “i” dan ditambahkan “es” tetapi aapabila diikuti vokal maka ditambah “s”



 Negative →subject+do/does+not+verb I
Example
1. I do not work
2. You do not work
3. We do not work
4. He does not work
5. she does not work
 Interogative →do/does+subject+verbI
Example
1. Do  i work?
2. Does he work?
3. Do you work?
4. Do they work?
5. Do we work?
THE SIMPLE PAST TENSE
PENGGUNAAN
Digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu pekerjaan atau perintah yang terjadi pada masa lampau
Example: they bought television last month
SUSUNAN KALIMAT
 positive→subject+verb II
EXAMPLE
1. I called him
2. You confined the schedule
3. I worked yesterday
4. I met him yeserday
5. I bought this car in montreal
 negative→subject+didnot/didn’t+verbI
EXAMPLE
1. I didnot call him
2. You didnot confien the schedule
3. I didnot work yesterday
4. I didnot meet him yesterday
5. I did not bring this car
 Interogative→did+subject+verbI
EXAMPLE
1. Did I call him?
2. Did he came here?
3. Did she drink water?
4. Did it begin to study?
5. Did he edit a magazine?
THE SIMPLE FUTURE TENSE
PENGGUNAAN
Digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu pekerjaan yang akan datang.
EXAMPLE: she will have gone to jakarta
SUSUNAN KALIMAT
 positive→subject+shall/will+have+verbIII
example
1. I shall have writen a story
2. They will have cleaned the room
3. We shall have clened the room
4. He will have given a present
5. It will have swum very fast
 negative→subject+shall/will+not+have+verbIII

1. I shall not have writen a story
2. They will not have cleaned the room
3. We shall not have clened the room
4. He will not have given a present
